Community Care Northumberland selling Easter-themed cookies to support its Meals on Wheels program

8 wrapped & decorated Easter cookies from Roda’s Kitchen

Each box, which contains 8 individually-wrapped and beautifully decorated Easter cookies from Roda’s Kitchen, will be sold for $20.00 to support CCN’s Meals on Wheels program, which offers frozen and/or hot meal delivery to clients throughout Northumberland County.

“March, which is National Nutrition Month and the annual March for Meals Month, is a key time for us to raise awareness in our community about the importance of our Meals on Wheels program,” said Trish Baird, Chief Executive Officer of Community Care Northumberland. “While we are unable to gather with our local mayors, volunteers and others from the community for March for Meals this year, we are excited to run this cookie fundraiser which will help further support the nutrition needs of our clients and community members, as well as continue to raise awareness about this important program.”

People can order their cookie boxes beginning March 10th until March 24th by visiting or phoning 1-905-885-0466. Upon ordering, people can select the pickup date and which CCN office throughout Northumberland County they would like to pick up their cookies from. From each $20.00 cookie box sold, $8.00 will support the Meals on Wheels program.
